Drivers Legal Plan is proud to help shape the future of transportation by investing in emerging leaders. With sponsorship from Drivers Legal Plan and Tenstreet, the Truckload Carriers Association created TCA Elevate to develop the next generation of talent in the truckload industry. The program provides young professionals with meaningful opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow through mentorship, skill-building sessions, and industry networking (https://truckload.org/elevate/).
In its second year, Drivers Legal Plan also individually sponsored Delaney Rea, Fractional Chief People Officer, to join the TCA Elevate Class. Over the past 10 months, Delaney participated in the TCA Annual Conference, the TCA Safety and Security Council, the TCA Call on Washington, and numerous virtual learning sessions.
Delaney shared, “This experience has been one of the highlights of my 10+ years in transportation. I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors who have shaped my perspective and accelerated my growth, and I recognize how privileged that is. Organizations like TCA and Drivers Legal Plan play a vital role in making that kind of mentorship accessible to more young professionals—something our industry needs to recruit and retain its future leaders and prepare for tomorrow’s challenges. Connecting with so many driven, passionate young leaders has been inspiring. Even with the limited time we’ve had together, they’ve made a lasting impact on me, and we’ve created treasured memories.
Through the TCA Call on Washington, I also saw firsthand how essential it is to track current and future industry needs. We must advocate today for the changes we’ll need 2–4 years from now. Drivers Legal Plan’s investment in this program reflects the kind of foresight our industry must prioritize, even amid demanding daily operations. But when you have a heart for this industry the way we do, you always feel like you gain more than you give.”
If your organization is interested in participating in TCA Elevate, applications for individual participants are typically accepted from November through early December each year.
